So, I know it's been forever. I feel like I start every single blog that way. Isn't that awful? Life just gets so busy and the blog goes to one of my last priorities. Basically I just want to talk about how blessed we as women are. I know this might be a specific post to women, but seriously we are so blessed and should always remember that. God has given us so much grace by giving us influence over certain things in our lives. I just got done reading a book called
Lineage of Grace and it's by Francine Rivers. It talks about five important women throughout the Bible who are also part of the lineage of Christ. It includes Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and finally Mary. Do you realize how important each of these women's roles were as part of the lineage of Christ? It's amazing to see their faith and to see how they followed Christ with absolute reckless abandon. Do you realize that Tamar had to wait for years and then trust Christ to go after her father-in-law Judah with faith? What about Rahab? She was a prostitute in Jericho and had only heard of the works of the Lord. She risked her life to hide and help two slaves. She trusted God and prayed to Him just from knowing His works that He had done for the Israelites. Funny how the Israelites were so ungrateful and some had a hard time believing. We sit back here in America and we say "Oh we would never be like that." "If God worked like that in our day, there's no way that we wouldn't deny Him." But how we act when we are outside of the church doors, show we don't have the faith like Rahab and we are denying Him by openly disobeying His Word. This blog post isn't going to be too long at all, but I would just encourage you to have faith. Take that extra step. Do what seems impossible. Jesus is there..holding your right hand. When the angel of the Lord appeared to Mary she said, "For nothing will be impossible with God." And Mary said, "Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word. (Luke 1:37-38) Why can't we have faith like this when we have the Word of God right in front of us to give us such assurance? Women back then weren't allowed to read the Torah..they had to wait and hear it from their husbands. Have faith in the Lord. He is willing to use you to be His vessel. We just gotta have a little faith.
Anyways, I got a new camera! Exciting right?! Well I'm gonna post some pictures..hope you enjoy!!! :)
