Loving LOVE!

Okay, so over the past few weeks I have had the biggest honor and privilege to capture some beautiful couples and their awesome engagement sessions. It's so sweet to see love. While I got to photograph two of my friends, JJ and Leah, I just came across something so so sweet. I have photographed MANY MANY couples. Over my five years of doing it (still have a lot of improving to go) the couples that have Christ at the center and forefront of their relationship are always the sweetest to me. Many times we believe love is something that we see in the movies that is mixed in with all sorts of things that is sin. God doesn't hate people, he loves us unconditionally, but there are some relationships that God hates because we are sinning against God and breaking His heart. They have shown me through their love for each other that with Jesus in the center of it all..the love is truly sweeter!! Thank God, Jesus has given me these wonderful people to photograph!!  Well anyways, it's been such an honor to be apart of these four peoples lives. The example they lead separately and also together is the BIGGEST blessing to not only me but to countless others around them!! I pray for examples of what a good Godly relationship looks like, and Jesus gave me these people..but also He gave them to me as friends. So thankful for ya'll and that I got to be apart of these pictures. I seriously have shed tears over editing them seeing the love that ya'll share with each other. I can't wait to ya'll to see the rest!!!

You Keep Me

Who keeps you? Have you ever asked yourself this question? What keeps you going? Is it your friends, family, boyfriend, etc.? The past month of my life has literally been a roller coaster, and I literally feel like I cannot keep up. Seriously though. It's been the funnest, hardest, and probably most rewarding month thus far...so I really can't wait to see what's up the road. Although it's been great..it's definitely had its low moments and moments where my imperfections have been magnified to the extreme. I have been humbled and just completely thrown on my face because well, I need Jesus' grace and mercy every second of every day. Praise Him that He can supply..cause homegirl is lacking. But anyways, what I want to get at is a beautiful verse in Genesis. So many times, we look over books in the Old Testament. I know I do anyways because it's mainly just stories and I just want my world to be rocked and me to be convicted, realize what I need to change, and then go on with life. I've been doing a great study on the Patriarchs of Scripture which includes the stories of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It has been ROCKING MY WORLD and totally convicting me. Jesus has taught me so much and revealed so much to me..it's crazy. The verses I want to share with ya'll is Genesis 28:15-17. It says:
"Behold, I am with you, and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land: for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it. He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven."
Let me give you a little background on these verses. First of all, Jacob has seriously just gotten done with deceiving Isaac his dad by pretending to be Esau. Because of this Jacob had to flee because Esau wanted him dead. Yet, isn't is so beautiful that Jesus still reminds Jacob that He is with him? There is nothing in this world that is sweeter than Jesus and His grace. Have you ever felt like you've done something that you thought Jesus could never forgive you for? Maybe you've done things over and over again and think that Jesus couldn't forgive you. You see, our God doesn't work like that. He still comes to Jacob and reminds him that He is there..and He will keep him. God wants and does the same thing for you. So many times I wish that God would speak to me just like He's speaking to Jacob here. So many times, we wait on that amazing moment where we just sit and wait for God to speak with us. However, we have that in our hands at any moment in time. We have the Holy Word of God. They didn't have that back in the Old Testament and how often do we not pick up our Bible and read it. Another point I wanna get out of this verse that Jesus just keeps on reminding me of (obviously I haven't learned the lesson I'm supposed to yet) but that He is going to keep us in a place even if it's not the place where we wanna be until He has done what He has promised in us. This doesn't have to be a literal place like Dahlonega. It easily could be..but it could be God is keeping you in a specific relationship, in singleness, etc. He doesn't do anything without a purpose or a cause. Sometimes, we don't think what God is doing in our lives right now is purposeful or if we should be here. This is when we get frustrated and shake our fists at God. I do this all the time..but then months down the road I realize what Jesus was doing and that it was GOOD. Just know Jesus keeps us, he loves us, He cares for us. It's so easy to forget. You can never do anything whatsoever to push you away from the love of God. Even when we think what we did was unforgiveable..Jesus still shows us mercy!! Well anyways, that's my thought for the day! Here's some photos of recent shoots I have done!!
